Countdown to Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix

It’s 3 days until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes out! Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix My least favorite Harry Potter film. It’s my friend Katie’s favorite, but to me it just makes her bonkers. I watched Order of the Phoenix about a year after it came out, on my DVR with my little brother. Here is a list of reasons why I cannot stand this film. It is much too short for such a long book. It is too choppy. They leave out too many events. And all of m

Films That I'm Dying to See

For those who have been following my blog for a while now, you know I’m a huge film buff. I’m such a film buff that IMDB is my Internet best friend. Recently I’ve been around the web, catching up on films that are going to be coming out in the next year or two. They aren’t things that are coming out right now or anything, so the anticipation is really getting me. Hopefully (as sad as this is) you will read some of these and get as excited as I am and we can have a nice ol’ ch

Countdown to Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire

It’s 4 days until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes out! It’s a Monday, and even though we’re all having a bit of Monday blues and we just want to stay in our beds and sleep until the week is over, we do have something to look forward to. Friday! I like this film, even though the book for it is my least favorite. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire follows Harry’s adventures as he is surprisingly accepted into the Tri-Wizard tournament and not only strives to

Let's All Live in the Jazz Age!

Although I’ve read The Great Gatsby about a million times, each time I read it it feels like the first time. The Great Gatsby is one of those books that makes you want to jump in between the pages and live in the world of the characters. It is truly one of my most favorite reads of all time. So, I am a Wikipedia addict. If I want to know something, I go straight to Wikipedia. And on one of my many Wikipedia ambles, I was looking up the actress Carey Mulligan (An Education, Ne

Stereotypical Oscar-Nominated British Film? Yes Please.

For those who want to pick up a fairly interesting film about a 16-year old Oxford-bound girl who ends up in a relationship with a man twice her age to go visit the world and have fun, here is the film for you. It is called An Education and is one of my absolute favorite British films. Carey Mulligan plays the part of Jenny very well. This is a film I definitely recommend for all of you. Enjoy! -Morgan Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Click to share on Twitter

Actors Who Deserve Some Credit Pt. II

Emma Stone First Film: Superbad Best Known For: Easy A Loved Her In: Easy A Why She Deserves Credit: For a girl who first made her debut in 2007, Emma has really won the crowd over. She’s funny and quirky and completely relatable. She plays her roles with such believability that it doesn’t surprise me that she won a Golden Globe. She’s absolutely fantastic to watch. Be sure to reserve seats for her upcoming role in Friends with Benefits. Stanley Tucci First Film: Prizzi’s Hon

    Actors Who Deserve Some Credit

Jesse Eisenberg First film: Get Real Best Known For: The Social Network Loved him in: Zombieland Why He Deserves Credit: Jesse always plays these socially awkward/quiet characters that always seem a little far from normal. But, he’s always got this little charm that everyone loves him for. Plus, he is so gorgeous! He truly is a great actor who plays his characters well. Can’t wait to see him in 30 Minutes or Less. Troian Bellisario First Film: Last Rites Best Known For: Prett
