Happy November 1st! One of the best things about the weather cooling down is that I get to break out the best part of my closet: Coats. From elevating an outfit to just keeping us warm, coats are necessary to keeping stylish and cozy all fall long.
My own style reflects that of classic, chic, and casual has led me to have coat staples that are my go-tos, but I’m excited to maybe try out some new styles for what will likely be another beautiful Portland fall.
The Best Fall Coats
I love this style because of it’s timeless appeal with a twist. Combining the classic trench coat with a bit of an anorak flair creates something to be worn season after season, while still looking ahead of the curve. I know I love mine.
The Long Moto
Put away the leather and stick with a gorgeous marled Moto jacket for fall. It still has that cool edgy style but will keep you warm and is perfect for running between meetings and your personal life. Or, for a super punk rock effect, layer the marled jacket over the leather for ultimate warmth.
Ever since I moved to the PNW I’ve noticed puffer jackets as far as the eye can see, so much that I had to buy my own. Not only do they keep me ridiculously warm, but they instantly add a cool aesthetic to whatever outfit you’re wearing. I’ve worn mine with everything from cropped jeans and Keds to riding boots and leggings.
The Boucle Coat
This one has more to do with the texture than the coat. A boucle coat has such a beautiful texture it instantly looks more expensive than it is and dresses up your outfit instantly. This Topshop one is only $125, but just looking at it makes me feel like I should be living in an Olsen penthouse or something.
