Another month has come and gone, but so much happened! July was an extremely good month for me, professionally and personally, and I’m so thankful for everything it brought. Mercury retrograde was rough, but I feel like we’ve gotten through mostly unscathed and now we’re ready for August!
I tried lots of new things this month, finding my “summer style” and now I’m sharing the best of it all with you.
The Best of July 2019

I’ve been in search of the perfect – and hopefully inexpensive – sunless tanner on the market for summer. Something that comes off very natural. And I think I found it! I’ve been adding two drops to my facial moisturizer every other night and 12 drops to my body lotion twice a week and I have never looked so perfectly tan! No streaks, no orange, and doesn’t fade the second I exfoliate. Big fan over here, and will definitely be exploring more of Tanologist’s products.
Like every other product I’ve tried from Maple Holistics, I’m a big fan. I’ve been having a scratchy scalp the past few months and could not figure out the cause. Since switching to this shampoo – which removes buildup – I have been scratching my scalp less and enjoying shiny hair more. Switching this into my rotation has been great, and I look forward to a few more months of a happy scalp.
I bought this romper off Amazon on a whim. And I’m so happy I did! Super comfortable and flattering (I do not normally have the body for a romper) I have been living in this romper ever since it arrived. From happy hour to sitting on the couch, I am ready to buy this in every color and throw out the rest of my clothes.
This mascara is truly “smart” like the bottle says. My lashes have never looked as full and voluminous as when I’m wearing it. It takes a little bit of practice to get it exactly right, but now it’s the first thing I grab in my makeup bag. For me, the perfect mascara comes off as “are they natural?”, separates lashes, and provides volume and length. This mascara does all of that, and doesn’t rub off everywhere.
It wouldn’t be a complete roundup of the best if I didn’t include Trader Joe’s. On my road to be a healthier person, dessert has been the hardest. I just like a little something sweet at night. This bar (which really is a pound of chocolate) provides tiny little squares that are easy to break off and enjoy. Just one satisfies my sweet tooth, and at ~3 Weight Watchers Freestyle Points a piece, keeps me right on track for the day.
