Best of September 2019

Today is the last day of my favourite month of the year, and I am not ready to let it go. September is filled with nostalgia and crisp fall mornings and it’s the start of the best season of the year. And while I am ending it with a cold, it was still an excellent month.

I spent a lot of September busy at work. However, it ended with two concerts (Hatchie and Vampire Weekend!) and a lot of eating out. My tummy is full and I am, begrudgingly, ready for October to be just as filled with amazing memories.

Best of September 2019

Jason Purifying Tea Tree Body Wash

While I am a cheap-o when it comes to body wash, I’m also aware of how many chemicals come at a $3.99 price point. So for $8.99 I picked up this Jason body wash and they have a new fan! Not only does this body wash make my skin feel great, the little pimples from a hot, sweaty summer have finally faded! For the price, it’s definitely worth spending the extra $5.

Jack Whitehall’s Travels With My Father

Never have I been so entertained! I’ve adored Jack Whitehall for years, but this show may be his best production yet. I’m late to the game, but this show cracks. me. up! I love a family dynamic, and this show is everything you’d imagine when you take a goofy comedian and his straight-laced father on a tour of the world. I binged the entire series in a weekend. Great for a laugh.

Market Pantry Peach Mango Sparkling Water

I picked this up on a whim on a Target run. For a relatively healthy sparkling water, this stuff replaces dessert. It’s just sweet enough and satisfying to the point where it is what I enjoy after dinner. Perfectly bubbly and fruity. If you’re someone who easily downs a platter of brownies when your sweet tooth acts up, I recommend picking up a bottle of this.

The Ordinary EUK 134 0.1% & Tea Tree Oil

the ordinary euk 134

I may have become a little tea tree obsessed in September. During a facial my girl told me that tea tree oil was a good acne-solver. I had the bright idea to combine EUK 134 and an old bottle of tea tree (tea tree should never be used as an all-over treatment by itself) I had lying around and VOILA! My acne cleared right up, my skin is significantly less red (more so than in years) and it’s an inexpensive add-in to my skin routine. I mix 3-4 drops of the EUK 134 with 2-3 drops of tea tree and it will kill the most stubborn of pimples in 24 hours. I use morning and night.

See you all in October!
