Sometimes when you’re crazy busy and there’s too much on the plate you have to sit back and give yourself a day or two to recuperate. Without that downtime how are you going to accomplish amazing things? Or at least that’s what I told myself this week.
As I start to enter the second half of the term I have deadlines coming out of my caboose. Too much work and not enough time for Morgan. So I decided to carve out a night or two where I would focus on me and calming my brain enough that I could get back to work after and not feel like an imploding stress ball. To do this I indulged in some of my favourite things, pampered myself a little, and watched a lot of TV.
Welcome to my “Week In”.

A Week In: A Favourites Friday
1. Ugly Betty
After finding out that Ugly Betty is on Hulu, my new life goal is to finish all four seasons before I graduate. Considering I have one season down, I’m not too worried. Ugly Betty is one of those shows that sheds light to so many issues, but does so in a humorous and approachable way. I honestly love this show so much and being able to binge watch it has made my little “me time” so much better.
These little masks are a lifesaver, especially for those with poor face washing routines. Wash your face and apply this mask, and when you wake up in the morning it’s like you’ve never skipped a day in your life. Overnight my acne disappears and my skin has an overall healthier appearance. And considering they’re only $4 (and there are tons of different categories for different skin concerns) they really are a catch and necessary to have in your beauty arsenal.
These brownies are seriously decicious. I could eat a whole pan and still want more. They are the ultimate comfort food and taste kind of like melty, gooey heaven. I definitely recommend picking up a box ASAP.
As someone who is a lost cause at applying eyeliner, when I want my eyes to pop I smudge a little dark brown eyeshadow into my lashes and it’s like fake eyeliner (and easier!) The brush I use that works amazing is this one, because it is very precise, and very easy to maneuver. I love how soft the bristles are, and I received several compliments on my eye makeup since using this brush. It’s one to add to the bag, I promise.
5. Forever 21 Crochet-Paneled Top
I love this top because it is perfect for night and day. I wore it over the weekend when drinking with my BFF and it was very party-like and showed skin. Then I wore it to class this week and it looked very professional. Not to mention it is flattering, comfortable, and you won’t overheat. I’m so happy I found this top because I definitely plan it being my staple piece for the summer season.
Hope everyone else had a great week and drink safely! My best friend is coming to Eugene for the first time and we’re going to do what best friends do: Live, laugh, and love!
