Have you ever been able to just relax?

After eight straight months of school I am finally enjoying my own little mini “summer” until I enter the working world. But having this short break is amazing and is reminding me that there is more to life than just stress and being busy.
This week I am appreciating the little things that made this week such a lovely little break after so long of being busy and building up anxiety. These things seriously made this past week 100% more awesome.

The Relax-a-cation: A Favourites Friday
1. Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion

As someone with bad acne my whole life, and struggled to find a toner that didn’t irritate my skin (which is why I’ve usually only used a apple cider vinegar solution) and this toner is seriously the most amazing. It cleared up my nasty cross-state moving break out and hasn’t once made my skin feel icky. I really recommend this for people with oily skin or acne because it really does the job.
2. Skinfood Wash Off Black Sugar Mask
I am buying a tub of these for everyone this Christmas with how much this helped my skin and how cheap it is! For $10 it is the best exfoliating mask ever and treats my skin like a treat! After moving my skin was so rough and dead (it didn’t help that I didn’t have the opportunity to shower the day of) and one use of this and it was soft, smooth, and dealt with a lot of the oils and acne.
3. The Carrie Diaries

AnnaSophia Robb. Sex and the City. 80s fashion. Hilarious plot line. Need I say more?
4. Half-buns

Since cutting my hair the other week, I seriously struggle to style my hair some days. I’ve had my long, flowing mane for long enough that I knew exactly how to style it. But this short, full-bodied lob is a whole new experience. But luckily I have discovered half-buns, which are a beautiful hairstyle. Simple pull half your hair up into a bun and it instantly looks styled. I have worn this hairstyle exclusively the last week and a half and even when my hair is greasy from sitting in a hot car for five hours I still look put together.
5. Fangirl

This book is my life currently. I love Rainbow Rowell and every one of her books I’ve read I love and Fangirl is no exception. Full of the crushing reality of college, the heart of being a fan, and the uncertainty of the people in life, this book reaches into my heart and I stayed up all night to finish it. I honestly couldn’t put it down. 10/10 would recommend.
