Favourites Friday #47

It’s time to get back to the basics.

Sometimes life gets a little hectic (such as moving and starting a new job in a week) and you find yourself not knowing up or down. That’s why the basics are there, to ground me to what is really important. And this week I needed that reminder.

My favourites this week are the things that I know keep me going in the direction I want to go. Whether it’s something to entertain me, maintain my personal style, or to just keep me feeling good, it’s on this list.

Back to Basics: A Favourites Friday

1. MTV’s Catfish

The MTV show Catfish is one of the most profound shows on TV now. Not only because it explores the world of online relationships and holding people accountable for their actions, but Max is hilarious. I don’t care what anyone says, Max is the star of the show.

2. Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser

I believe that when you have clean skin you can do anything. I love this cleanser because it truly gets all the ickies out and leaves skin feeling fresh and ready. Sometimes when I’m feeling a little down, a good face wash can help everything. Plus, for $7 it’s a steal!

3. Bigelow I Love Lemon tea

I was sick earlier this week and this tea was my saviour. Either by itself or with a little sugar, it keeps my throat happy and is a good way to energize myself in the morning without caffeine. And in general, lemon tea is one of my go tos because of all the benefits that lemon provides.

4. Tory Burch Jolie Fleur Bleue

This is my favourite perfume because it is impossible for me to wear it and not receive compliments. Seriously, every time I get in a car I hear, “What’s that smell? It’s amazing.” And as a nice, slightly drunk man once told me, I smell like, “a classy woman with standards.”

5. American Eagle Hi-Rise Jeggings

After jeans of buying different jeans, I have stapled myself to these. They fit perfect, have great stretch, and come in a variety of colours. What I love most is that they go with any style and I never need to worry about them going out of style.
