Favourites Friday No.105

Happy February!

This last month has gone by very slowly, and I’m excited for a fresh new start. I’ve started eating better {another pescetarian phase for me} and putting more time and effort into the things I love, like skincare and interior design. It’s so easy to get lost in “need to be here” and “this needs to be done” but we always seem to forget that mental care is equally important.

For the last seven days I have been exhausted from a long weekend {the IKEA dresser from hell} but I’ve managed to seem alert and indulge in some of my favourite things. And that’s really what February is all about.

These Are Some Of My Favourite Things: A Favourites Friday

Formula 10.0.6 On Your Mark

You all know of my love of Formula 10.0.6, so when I was in Ulta this week for a quick shop and I saw this acne scar rollerball, I knew I had to try this affordable option. Part of the reason my acne always looks bad is the scarring and it’s something I’ve always been self-conscious about. This rollerball feels so nice and while I haven’t seen much only a few days in, I’m excited to see what happens!

Coloured Suede

I’m a pretty basic shoe gal, but I have a weakness for coloured suede. In the past two months I have purchased tan pointed suede loafers, navy teal pointed suede flats, and burgundy suede platform heels. They look so luxe and add an instant oomph to anything I’m wearing. If you see cute suede shoes, call me.

Shrimp Tacos

Because my food options are pretty limited currently, getting creative with fish has been big this week. Shrimp tacos has been the most fun to make, as I can get creative with sauce. My current favourite combination is shrimp, avocado, cilantro dressing, and a little drizzle of salsa and lime.

HEMNES Dresser

HEMNES 8-drawer dresser IKEA

As mentioned above, this dresser is the dresser from hell. After nearly 7 hours of building – and a total exhausted mental breakdown from me – I screwed up and now we have to redo the drawers. So, while it’s not exactly finished, I’m loving the way it looks in my space, which will be shared soon in an apartment tour.

High-waisted jeans

It’s no secret that I love high-waisted jeans. And this week I have lived in high-waisted jeans with a tucked in top. There’s something about feeling secure – and slimmed down by the waist – that makes getting dressed in the morning so much easier.

What are you up to this weekend? I’m meeting up with an old friend for ice cream and celebrating another friend’s recent career success!
