Favourites Friday No.110

Oh look, Favourites Friday is back! It's been far too long since I shared everything I'm obsessed with, and I'm coming back strong with a list filled with beauty products, a cannot-miss show, and the app I needed in my life.

YUNI Active Calm Firming Moisturizer

Finding a miracle moisturizer without citric acid at an affordable price point is a tall order to fill. After a bunch of research I went out on a limb for this YUNI moisturizer and fell. In. Love. It's luxurious and packs a ton of moisture for only $25. The non-irritating formula exceeded all my expectations for affordable moisturizers, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to incorporate more natural skincare in their routine.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson

I am the queen of giving a f*ck. My favourite John Mulaney joke is this one because I too need to please every single person I meet. My whole life has been focused on caring about single thing. And it has given me crippling anxiety that I do not need. This book is cutting, honest, and is a great first step to me learning to care less because I am the only person keeping track of my life. Great gift idea for the Type A neurotic in your life.

Wow, where was this app the last few years? If you need to track your hours for work, etc. this is the app for you. The incredibly simple interface makes it easy to track the correct item, and you can go back in and edit if you're like me and forget to start/stop your tracking on time. As a chair for Junior League, tracking my time is so important, and Toggl has made time tracking one less stress on my list. There is also a desktop version if you're not addicted to your phone.

The Politician

I binged Season 1 & 2 in two days. How can you not hit 'next episode'? Between the gorgeous cinematography, fashion, and witty dialogue, I am obsessed. Ben Platt shines in his role as Payton Hobart, an ambitious teen focused on becoming President. If you're looking for something political that doesn't spark a political debate, this is it! It's also set in Santa Barbara, which is absolute heaven.

SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Bath, Body & Massage Oil

After a really bad sunburn several weeks back, nothing was helping. I had this oil sitting in my shower and figured I would use it for baths. Reading the back, I saw it could be applied to dry skin and had that "what's the worse that could happen?" and applied it to my bright red shoulders and chest. Within a day, the skin faded into a golden tan and all of my discomfort lifted. It completely healed my burn! I have yet to burn again and re-test, but based off my first encounter, I recommend trying the oil on your next burn.

Resume Worded

As I mentioned a few weeks back, I was recently laid off. Applying for jobs is on my top 5 list of least favourite things (I am a much better interviewer) and Resume Worded makes the whole process much easier. With the free version, you can get a lot of feedback on your resume and LinkedIn, with examples to help you gain a competitive edge. I also am a huge fan of the feature where they compare your resume to a job ad for compatibility. There's even more options available for the paid version. If you're also on the hunt for work, check out this site before your next application.
