A few weeks ago I did my fall beauty essentials, and while I stick with those, I also have the products that I cannot leave behind when the leaves begin to fall.
I’ve broken my favourites out of storage for the beginning of the season and as I make my move to Portland I sincerely hope I can find a store close by so I’m never without them. Here’s my favourites!
My 7 Fall Makeup Must-Haves
This colour is the perfect brown-gold to compliment fall colours. It’s great for a brown smokey eye, or use wet for a striking eyeliner. NARS eyeshadows are highly pigmented and long-lasting, meaning it will last for several seasons before needing to restock.
While I usually have pink-based highlighter for my skin tone, this highlighter is perfect for fall because of its champagne base. Glide it above the cheekbones and your skin seems luminous and awake, which is perfect for gloomy mornings. And when I wear dark lipstick I love to dab a little on my Cupid’s bow.
A dark lipstick is necessary for fall, and this one is not only fantastic, but fantastically priced. This colour is deep and rich and leaves lips moisturized and dramatic. This is the lipstick you’ll see me wearing four days a week because it goes with everything.
My complexion can get dull during the harsher months, but I love these drops because I can mix them with foundation to create a glow-from-within look that seems more natural than just smearing highlighter all over my face. Plus, they’re cheaper than a facial.
Mixing a darker blush into my routine is a great way to keep my look fresh. In this palette I love the lighter peach for a simple day look, and the dark red is great for going out, or when I’m looking a little sallow. The variation of colours in this palette make it great for leaving behind your baby pink blush.
Once again, fall is about looking lit-from-within. And this foundation seriously does that. It makes skin look soft and glowy, which I love for fall. Plus, it doesn’t dry out easily, making skin look flawless even when you’re walking in rough winds to work.
This mascara separates and lengthens lashes, which I think is a great look for fall. I think it is a super easy mascara to just swipe on (no sitting in front of a mirror for 20 minutes checking for clumps) and adds the right amount of drama that doesn’t distract from a darker blush or lipstick.
