My Go-To Jewelry for Summer

As the sun begins replacing those long grey days that have been taking over Portland, I look at my wardrobe with fresh eyes. Goodbye sweaters and hello linen! And with these fabric changes come some jewelry swaps.

I don’t wear a lot of jewelry because jingling isn’t my thing, so I choose pieces that are more dainty but are statements in their own way. Summer jewelry shouldn’t be heavy, and should be able to go with a a variety of outfits.

I love all of these pieces, and have bought them over a number of years. Whether I’ve picked them up from the Saturday market or they’ve been gifts, each of these pieces has remained in my collection for being easy, breezy, and beautiful.

I love this J.Crew necklace {similar here} because of it’s simplicity, but has the statement of colour and sparkle. It’s perfect for wearing with a white linen top, or over a simple dress for a night out.

Bracelets are an easy accessory to slip on. For summer I love something that feels light on my wrist. The silver Wanderlust + Co bracelet I purchased from Rocksbox {similar here} goes with almost everything I own. I’m also obsessed with my “stay classy” bracelet from the Etsy shop Lemesto because it is perfect for adding to any outfit, and is literally too cute. This gold Dashelle ring {similar here} is something I can wear every day because of the dainty size, but intriguing design.

Earrings are great for summer, but I can’t do anything dangling. That’s why I depend on studs. The pink studs were purchased when I was in Belgium in 2012 from a small shop, but these Cole Haan earrings are pretty similar.

The ‘M’ earrings {similar here} are my favourite, and I never cease to receive compliments on them. I love that they instantly spark conversation without weighing down my ears. Everyone needs a pair of earrings with their initials.
