Sometimes it just hits me. This is what it is like to be a Junior in high school.
It happened last night as I was doing my AP Language & Composition homework. I sat there on my full-size bed, my lap desk balancing on my pajama-ed knees. ‘Perspective on Fear’ by Saskia Veriaan lay squarely on top of the desk, ready for annotations. Surrounding me were jumbled Tiffany-blue covers, my vocabulary words, a Webster’s Dictionary, and papers for rhetorical devices and mode. A single pack of yellow-brick-road sticky notes sat on top of everything. My pen, a black Bic, was poised for writing.
And that’s when I realized it. This is the beginning of serious study.
