Stumble Saturday: Sherlock Holmes

Today’s Stumble Saturday comes from this website.

I’ve always loved Sherlock Holmes.

STORY TIME I used to live in Colorado, and during that time we lived in the house my great-grandparents built. Inside were most of the original furnishings, alongside a few of our own beds, couches and tables. One of my favorite parts of the house was the bookshelf. Next to the dining room table and above the phone table was a bookshelf. It was filled with huge leather-bound red books. Each one was the collected works of a famous writer. There was Edgar Allen Poe, William Shakespeare, and, my favorite, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

I used to sit down and go through that big red book, learning all the different stories of Sherlock Holmes. I was too young to really understand the language, but I still found them fascinating.

And that, my readers, is today’s Stumble Saturday.
