Welcome to another Stumble Saturday!
How adorable is this picture? I’m not a ca person myself, but put any domestic pet in a Santa hat and I will fall head over heels for it.
Christmas is only 8 days away and there is so much to do. Wrap presents, attend parties, drink huge amounts of egg nog. How can we possibly do it in only 8 days?
The best part of the holidays, though, is the stories. So, here is one of mine.
When I was about 7 years old, my grandparents on my mother’s side came to visit us from San Diego. We lived in California at the time, so there was no snow or anything. My grandma and I were in the kitchen with the intent of making Christmas cookies. We made the dough from scratch and boy, did it look good. I went to have some and my grandma pushed my finger away. “You do not eat raw cookie dough!” she told me. “It’s really bad for you.” We then ransacked the kitchen for some cookie cutters. We found a few, my favorite being a candy cane, and cut all our dough. After popping them in the oven for half an hour, they were finally ready. Using frosting and sprinkles we decorated all our cookies and they looked so good! My favorite was the candy cane I cut, frosted, and sprinkled. It was really delicious.
And that’s one of the many Christmas stories of my life. And now it’s time for you to tell me yours. As I posted a few days ago, I am having a Totally Awesome Christmas Story Contest. It’s going to end soon too and I need lots more participants! So, here’s what you can do.
