While we talk about noticing eyes or lips first, the reality is skin is one of the most noticeable features we have. And that's why I put a lot of time and money into mine! Over the years I have perfected my skin routine to what makes my skin feel happiest and healthy. I'm sharing the (surprisingly affordable) products that end up on my bathroom counter again and again.
Good skin starts with a solid cleanser. This water-based cleanser gets gunk out while not stripping the skin. I'm on my fourth or fifth bottle because I always come back to it. There are plenty of fantastic cleansers out there, but this one forever leaves my skin feeling its best without being too powerful for my sensitive skin.
The most magical serum, I have had Glow Maker on my counter for a year now. I don't know what I would do without it. It really is a magical serum, providing the right amount of care to my skin to help with dryness, dark spots, and overall skin health. Whenever my skin starts to flip out, I take out everything but Glow Maker and suddenly my skin seems to be brighter, more hydrated, and calm. And for $30 a bottle it's fairly affordable for the quality of the serum.
If you have oily skin I cannot recommend this moisturizer enough. It feels extremely hydrating while soaking into the skin leaving no residue. If I could only use one moisturizer for the rest of my life it would be this one. My sensitive, oily skin drinks it up and leaves skin hydrated without clogging my pores. I buy mini bottles for traveling I love it so much.
I used to think sunscreen was nothing but the thick white cream you needed for the beach. But after two parents with skin cancer scares I know that skin health starts with protection! I use SPF every single day. And the weird thing is I noticed that my skin improved after I incorporated sunscreen into my routine. My scars lightened and I had less irritation. That's because your skin is protected! I love this one from Thank You Farmer because it blends into the skin, leaves no white cast, and the shine goes away quickly. I have no issues wearing it along or under makeup. For ~$25 it is a really affordable option that gives great protection and the bottle lasts for a while!
Note: Costco is currently selling this product, but I'm unsure of the quality. I buy from Stylevana and the quality is great but shipping does take a hot minute.
