The Tweeting Dilemma: A Q&A

Who’s ready to read the A’s to your Q’s?

For the past few weeks I’ve been compiling the best questions I’ve been sent by tweet, email, etc. and now it’s time I give you all some answers. Who’s ready?

Morgan A’s Your Q’s Once Again…

1. What’s your favorite kind of tea?

As an avid tea drinker, I very much appreciate this question. My favourite flavor of tea is chai, and my favourite brand is Charbrew. If I had to choose a tea that I love drinking the most, it would probably be Trader Joe’s Cinnamon Vanilla black tea.

2. What are you going to be for Halloween?

No spoilers. You’ll have to wait until the 31st like everyone else.

3. How is school going?

There have been some rough spots (and it’s only week 4) but now that I’ve ridden over the bumps it’s pretty good. Calc is killing me – I am a writer, not a mathematician – but I’m really loving Introduction to Fiction Literature and US Film Industry.

4. Why don’t you tweet more?

I just did an eight mile hike. WHAT. IS. THIS. — Morgan Hegarty (@PotatoesHegarty) July 26, 2015

People actually read my tweets? I am very sorry my tweeting has been lacking. Sometimes my witty thoughts aren’t all that abundant. But I shall try to have a nugget in every day that I can for now on. Don’t worry, questioner, I shall tweet more.

5. Any new recipes for us?

I always have new recipes for you! This basil pesto gnocchi is so yummy, it’s my new go-to dinner! Simply cook the gnocchi, crisp it with some olive oil in a pan, and slap it in some basil pesto. Oh yes, this is delicious! Recipe via Two Peas & Their Pod.

6. Hi Morgan, do you have any advice for me? I’m a freshman at NYU and college is a lot different from high school.

Hi! I shall try to give you the advice that I wish someone had given me when I stated college.

Don’t let college stereotypes influence your experience. Not doing what the magazines say you should be? Don’t feel bad. College really is different for every individual person. When I do what I’m “supposed” to do, 7/10 of the time I am miserable. Follow your interests and listen to yourself and your comfort level at different activities. Partying is not for everyone. I go to one of the biggest football colleges in the country, but attending a game on a Saturday is just a waste of a weekend to me. But going with friends to an Indian culture night to watch Bhangara and eat naan – sign me up again!

My best advice is to do what makes you have the most fun. Don’t let society tell you what your college experience needs to be.

7. Why did you start doing Favorites Friday?

After doing FF for Everyday Enthusiasm, I realized that I really enjoy sharing my weekly favourites. It’s fun to just reflect on the week and talk with my readers about the things I love. Plus, a lot of readers will share their weekly favourites too, which gives me tons of cool products to try out too.
