Who doesn’t have a sweet tooth?
Sometimes dessert is the best part of your day. When you can put up your feet, turn on your show, and take a bite of something delectable and satisfying. That’s why dessert was created! And as snack cookies and brownie mix has become more of a norm in society, the beauty of dessert has become something quick and easy. It is no longer that little treat it once was.
This week, bring back the art of dessert with some of the most delicious (and not too difficult) desserts that give you a little break from the rush of life. So, sit back, grab your grocery list, and prepare for your tastebuds to thank you for dessert this week.
Remember: Dessert is best enjoyed with friends, wine, and lots of “Mmm, mmm, mmm”s.
Dessert (Is Just For Me): The Enthusiast’s Dessert Guide
Cheesecake is a classic, and can provide a creamy, fluffy treat all week long. This recipe is easy to follow, and yields the perfect treat after a long day. Serve with strawberries and dive in with a movie on and a blanket on your lap.
If you love cranberry bliss bars, but can’t wait for Starbucks to sell them during the holidays, you can now make them at home! Super simple and absolutely mouthwatering, this recipe is great for any sort of dessert you’re planning on having. Whether its’ a night with the girls or that special someone is over, these are perfect.
If these don’t sound delicious then you don’t deserve dessert. This recipe is much simpler than it sounds (it’s literally just putting a brownie on cookie dough) and yields lots of yummy little balls of perfection, great for parties or even just sitting around with some red wine and Netflix. I am definitely making some of these this weekend!
This one has saved me several times when I’ve needed an easy but completely satisfying dessert. It’s as easy as crushing cookies and melting chocolate, plus it makes enough for the whole week. Serve with some milk and enjoy with friends while catching up.
Bailey’s chocolate mousse
I actually made this Saturday night and my roommate and I loved it! It’s a lovely boozy dessert (perfect for a bunch of 21-year-olds) and tastes like chocolate cream perfection. It’s easy to make (but will be a major arm workout if you don’t have a mixer) and makes enough to sit around the table and enjoy the boozy chocolate on your tongue with your favourite people.
Enjoy dessert this week, and never let it be a quick event again! What are your favourite desserts?
